About Mickey

Thanks for coming to the website.

Most of the Precinct Chairs in the Fort Bend County Republican Party Executive Committee know me mainly because I have been around so long. But there are many new members this year, so I would like to introduce myself.

My name is Mickey Mixon and I live in Sugar Land Texas with my wife Lynda. I am a small business man and Lynda is a school teacher.

I have 3 adult children, and 8 grandchildren, all living in the Sugar Land area. We attend Sugar Creek Baptist Church where I serve as a Deacon, a Sunday School Director, and a Director of Job Search Survival, a mission outreach and Jobs Ministry.  We (myself and 10 other men) hold 3 day seminars, 6 times a year at various libraries in Fort Bend County. We help unemployed men and women learn the skills necessary to find a new job.

I am Conservative Politically, both fiscally and socially. I am pro-life, pro-family, and everything I do and say is centered in my faith in Jesus Christ. I’m not perfect. I make a lot of mistakes, but I always try to do the right thing. But sometimes, especially in heated political discussions, things fall out of my mouth that I wish I could take back, I know I can’t but I am working on that.

Usually when you see me, you will see Lynda, especially at political events. It is something we both enjoy and we do together.

I am always willing to answer a question, help where I am needed and when I can, and I volunteer all the time. I have found in life that the more you give to others, the more you get in return. Not necessarily in money, but in friendships, kindness and help in return.

Friendships are important to me. But if you don’t like me now, you may like me later, and I am always willing to forgive and start anew.
